This page explains how Evawatches decides what to publish and what to recommend.
Independence
Our recommendations are our own. Brands and retailers do not pay to appear in our guides, cannot buy a better position in a list, and do not review our articles before they are published.
How we choose the watches in a guide
- Fit for the article. A guide to dive watches recommends dive watches; a guide for beginners recommends watches a beginner can sensibly buy and own.
- Facts we can stand behind. We compare specifications that matter to an owner: size, movement, water resistance, materials and servicing.
- Real availability and price. We favour watches you can actually buy today, at the price we describe.
Sources
We work from manufacturer specifications, published references and current retailer listings. When information conflicts or differs between references and production years, we say so rather than pick one and present it as certain.
Sponsored content and advertising
Evawatches shows advertising and earns commissions through affiliate links, explained in our Affiliate Disclosure. If we ever publish content a brand has paid for, it will be clearly labelled as sponsored. Advertising never changes what our editorial articles say.
Corrections
We correct factual errors as soon as we confirm them. If you spot one, tell us which article and what is wrong.
Keeping articles current
Watch prices and line-ups change. We revisit articles and update them when the facts change, and the date at the top of each article shows when it was last updated.
