About Evawatches

Evawatches is an independent website about wristwatches: how they are made, what they cost, and which ones are worth your money. We publish buying guides, reviews and plain-English explainers for people choosing their first watch and for collectors who already own a few.

What we cover

  • Reviews of specific watches, from a $40 Timex field watch to the Rolex Explorer.
  • Brand guides for Rolex, Cartier and Franck Muller: model lines, references, sizes, and what to check before buying pre-owned.
  • Watch types such as dive watches and luxury watches: what defines them and how to choose one.
  • Buying guides by budget and by wearer: watches for beginners, for men, and for every price range.

How we put a guide together

Every article starts from the facts a buyer actually needs: case size and thickness, movement, water resistance, materials, what servicing costs and what the watch really sells for. We work from manufacturer specifications, published references and current retailer listings, and we put models side by side so the differences are easy to see.

When a detail changes from one reference or production year to the next, we say so. We do not pass off a brand’s marketing as our own verdict, and when something is uncertain we tell you rather than guess.

How Evawatches is funded

Evawatches is free to read. When you buy a watch through a link on this site, the retailer may pay us a commission, at no extra cost to you. We also show advertising. No retailer pays to be included in a guide, and a commission never decides what we recommend. Read our Affiliate Disclosure and our Editorial Policy for the details.

A note on prices

Prices on Evawatches come from retailer listings and change often, sometimes daily. Always check the price on the retailer’s own page before you buy.
